May 6, 2020 – Los Angeles, CA – The United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) is pleased to announce FC Indy City as its newest Division I member.

Based in Indianapolis, IN, FC Indy City will begin UPSL play in the 2021 Spring Season as part of the new Midwest Conference Central Division I. The club will host its home games at Kuntz Memorial Soccer Stadium (1502 W. 16th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46202) in compliance with UPSL National Division I standards.

United Premier Soccer League Vice President Christian Vallejos said, "FC Indy City is coming into the Indianapolis market at the right time and we're excited to welcome Miguel Cabrera's club as a new member of the UPSL's Midwest Conference. We're trying to build out the Central Division in the Midwest Conference and Indianapolis holds a prominent place in that structure. We think FC Indy City is primed to do well there and we look forward to seeing the club on the pitch soon."

FC Indy City was created earlier this year by Miguel Angel Cabrera. FC Indy City will compete exclusively in the UPSL.

"We're going to do something that's important for the City of Indianapolis and bring out people to watch a big team. We want players that are hungry to be professional and we want to give players the opportunity to go on and have professional careers," Cabrera said.

Ramon Enrique Maradiaga has agreed to serve as Head Coach for FC Indy City. Maradiaga is a former Honduran international player and manager. He has previously coached the Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador men's national teams.

The club intends to host tryouts on May 16-17. Please contact 314-309-1522 for full details.
