NATIONAL PLAYER OF THE WEEK: JASA RWCs Antonio Manzo

October 31, 2019 – Los Angeles – JASA RWC forward Antonio Manzo has been selected UPSL National Player of the Week.

Born in Hayward (Calif.), Manzo scored three goals in a 3-3 draw against Oakland Stompers in a UPSL 2019 Fall Season Western Conference Wild West Division I game on Saturday, Oct. 26, 2019. Manzo played 90 minutes as JASA RWC (2-4-0 overall) stayed unbeaten, two points from the top of the table with the draw.

Manzo was a youth player for both Silicon Valley-based Juventus Academy and Santa Cruz Breakers Academy. He played two seasons at Newark (Calif.)'s Ohlone College, and currently has seven goals and two assists in six games for JASA RWC this season.

The UPSL National Player of the Week is selected each week of the regular season by members of the league and journalists covering the UPSL, and decided by the fans via Twitter poll.

United Premier Soccer League

The UPSL was formed in 2011 and currently includes more than 300 teams in Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, Virginia and Wisconsin. UPSL is the fastest growing Pro Development League in the USA, with 400-plus teams targeted for 2018 Spring Season. Each UPSL team is individually owned and operated, and is responsible for maintaining either UPSL Pro Premier Division or Championship Division minimum standards.

UPSL teams are all eligible to participate in the U.S. Open Cup Qualifying Rounds through the leagues affiliation with the U.S. Soccer Federation (USSF) and the United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA).
